Piers Morgan Declares War On Prince Harry And Meghan Markle

Piers Morgan is pulling no punches. The controversial British television personality basically declared war on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in his statement after it was announced that the Duke of Sussex had won his case in his lawsuit against the Mirror Group Newspaper. Morgan says that while it might be Prince Harry’s mission to bring down the monarchy, he will do whatever it takes to bring down the Sussexes instead. Here’s what you need to know.

In a statement that Morgan released on Twitter, he denied telling anyone to hack a phone after a judge ruled that he was involved with the practice while he was the Editor of the Daily Mirror. This comes after a High Court ruled that Prince Harry was the victim of phone hacking by the Mirror Group Newspapers. As a result of the case, the Duke of Sussex was awarded $178,000 in damages. The judge in the case said that Prince Harry’s phone was hacked multiple times between 2003 and 2009.

Despite the ruling, Piers Morgan said in his statement that Prince Harry wouldn’t know the truth even if it had “slapped him around his California tanned face.”

Morgan then said, “Prince Harry’s outrage about the media intrusion into the private lives of the Royal Family is only matched by his own ruthless, greedy and hypocritical enthusiasm for doing it himself.”

He continued, “His real mission, along with his wife, is to destroy the British monarchy. And I will continue to do whatever I can to stop them.”

Many royal fans and critics alike weighed in rather sarcastically with, “Ohhh Piers….the good samaritan who spoke out against every injustice in the world since he was 2 years old. Champion for good and this feud was only driven by his love and care for the royal family,” along with, “Highly embarrassing slagging off Prince Harry with those words. Take it on the chin like any strong man would. You’ve made yourself sound and look pathetic with you’re comments towards the end. PS you have zero proof for anything you said.”
