The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) may not be ready to move forward in her relationship now that she’s back in town.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) kept in touch with Chelsea and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) when they were out of town, and absence made the heart grow fonder and still going strong.
Billy may be up for trying the knot with Chelsea but she may say whoa, hoss, not so fast-even though they’re getting along great. It seems in soap opera land any time a couple is getting along great, the writers have to throw a monkey wrench in the middle of them.
Billy and Chelsea seem to be on some very solid ground, and Connor likes Billy okay-so he probably wouldn’t object to their marriage.
But Chelsea’s felt burned more than once in a serious relationship that became a marriage, and she may put on the brakes. Even though her relationship with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) was only friendship on his part, she still grieves his death.
Chelsea no doubt has noticed Billy’s in the midst of some family business drama, with trying to take down Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) and that brings family drama as well.
Billy is working on a plan with Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) and his siblings, and that’s not all the family drama that’s coming. He’ll soon find out where his ex-wife Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and her family were, and she’ll bring him in the loop about Claire Grace (Hayley Erin).
If Claire does turn out to be Vic and Cole Howard’s (J. Eddie Peck) baby Eve grown up, that means Connor will have a new cousin as well. Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) will have a sister and Billy and Chelsea will also need to adjust to the news and help their children adjust.
Billy and Chelsea may view Claire as a threat and need to protect their children, and that could cause friction between Billy and Victoria.
If Billy were to propose, Chelsea may feel there is just too much going on to get married on top of everything else. The Newman family drama can’t help but infringe on her and Billy and their kids, even Connor, since his father is Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
Chelsea may not say no forever, but just no for now-even if she does get cold feet as well, she’ll have to overcome the thoughts marriage will jinx them!
She’ll be very aware of the stresses piling in on Billy as well, and she’ll be vigilant-he’s had his own battles with mental illness. Right now Chelsea doesn’t want to add wedding planning to the to do list, that’ll give her time to deal with her demons and Billy time as well.

Adam and Chelsea made a great couple, so we are to forget about that. Adam did not give up on Chelsea and it was obvious she felt the same for him. By the way we are to also forget about what Chelsea did, left town remarried came back a rich woman. Remember what she did to Lauren? What she did was never addressed. So many things have been forgotten, characters written out, not mentioned, yet and still Sally is still around and why? She serves no purpose.
