Someone hold the phone! Is an “All My Children” reboot really happening? Well, it depends on who you ask and according to one veteran actress, there’s a good chance fans will get to see the show on the small screen once again. Here’s what you need to know.

Actress Susan Lucci, who is best known for her role as Erica Kane on the classic soap, suggested that fans might be seeing an “All My Children” reboot happen in the near future.

She said, “You know, I think there is. I really thought it had gone away, but of course with the writers’ strike and the actors’ strike, kind of everything felt like a long time. But I am told it is still alive, and certainly I would be in the very best of hands with Kelly and Mark [Consuelos, ex-Mateo] producing.”

Whoa! Now that is some news to definitely get excited about. Many daytime television fans also had a lot to say about the matter on social media.

Some even commented with, “There is always hope, BUT the writer’s strike and actor’s strike had nothing to do with AMC via Mark and Keli being stalled. They announced the reboot back at the end of 2020. The strikes started Spring of 2023. Mark and Keli’s reboot died early 2022 based on the writer hired going on about it via Twitter.

Maybe someone else will step in with a vision to birth a new AMC,” along with, “Sad part was they rebooted it fairly well in 2013, a massive improvement over what fans knew for the last 20 years of the show. Yet it was not enough.”

And then there was this comment as well, “I think she’s kidding herself. No thanks. Let’s look to the future. Canceling ‘All My Children’ was not a good decision, but it’s too late to rethink it this many years later.”
