The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Michael Freaks When Cole And Victoria Want Him To Represent Claire

The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will freak out when asked to represent Claire Grace (Hayley Erin). Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) stress they promised to help Claire and get her legal representation.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers: First Things First

At first, Michael balks at representing Claire, who had put the Newmans through hell but he understands that they need to find out if she really is their daughter. Part of being able to get that verified was their promise to help her with legal representation, and she’s currently in jail in Oregon.

That was their bargain with Claire, she would allow DNA testing if they would help her-and Cole and Victoria tell Michael the young girl is very messed up.

Michael gets it-he can relate, remembering when his brother Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) first came to town and how messed up he was-it took years for Kevin to finally redeem himself. Michael and he had different fathers, with Tom Fisher (Roscoe Born) leaving his mark on Kevin, but Michael wasn’t perfect either, having done a shady thing or two.

Y & R Spoilers: Getting The DNA, Asking The Questions

Cole and Michael elect to go back to Oregon, where Michael will visit Claire in jail although he hasn’t officially agreed to represent her. In the meanwhile, Cole will go to the lake house and collect some items of Claire’s that would have DNA, a hairbrush, a toothbrush since the jail may not allow extraction there.

Michael talks to the young girl, and he doesn’t say yay or nay just yet about representing her, although he tells her he’s an attorney. Michael wants to ask questions and get a feel for her first and determine if she might be trying to play Cole and Victoria, who told him she’d been groomed.

The psychotic great aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) had said she is Eve Howard’s (Margaret Mason) sister and kidnapped baby Eve Nicole Howard (uncast infant) from the hospital and switched her.

Ultimately, Michael decides to say yes to representing Claire although her being in jail in Oregon is somewhat of a legal challenge. But since she had been working for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) as her assistant for some time before all this happened, he can likely get her extradited to Genoa City.

In the meanwhile Cole returns from the lake house with the items needed to extract DNA without having to take anything from Claire herself, even though she’s willing.

Michael asks if Cole and Victoria will still be willing to help Claire if she doesn’t turn out to be a match, noting she is very troubled. Victoria and Cole’s motherly and fatherly instincts have surfaced, and they agree to help her even if she’s not their daughter; she will need lots of support and therapy.
