The Young and the Restless news says that soap stars really are just like us: they follow their favorite accounts on social media for all the latest news and gossip. Well, it seems like actress Michelle Stafford, who is best known for her role as Phyllis Summers on the hit CBS soap, is no different. The actress gave one particular soap fan a major shout out – in a good way, of course – on her Instagram account. Here’s what you need to know!
It looks like Michelle can’t wait for all the latest soap opera spoilers just like the rest of us. Sharing a clip of her character Phyllis with Michael Baldwin (played by Christian J. LeBlanc), Michelle wrote on her Instagram account, “I normally wouldn’t post a long scene like this. A friend of mine in Canada texted me that tomorrow’s US show (that shows in Canada the day before) was so nice. I went to @sharonchampagneyoga ‘s page as I knew she would have it. (Thank you girl). This is probably one of my favorite scenes between me and @christianjleblanc . written by the lovely @inacitysonice.”
She then continued, “Just two friends talking. That’s all, just talking. But it’s so loaded. We are nothing like our characters but this scene between us is rich with history and real to who we are. That’s what I love most about #YR ,The history of character. At the core, I think Phyllis is a very sad, apathetic woman who is trying to overcoming it at all times. This scene also affects me deeply as I know my very good pal Christian is going through a very challenging time in his personal life. Life imitates art. Art imitates life. Whatever. It’s true tho. This could be my new favorite scene between me and the superlative @christianjleblanc.”
