The Young and the Restless star Courtney Hope is someone who is always very honest about her life, both on and off camera, with her fans. The actress, who is best known for her role as Sally Spectra on the hit CBS soap, likes to share behind-the-scenes photos and videos of her day to day life with her followers on social media. Well, this past week she also posted about a terrifying accident that had left her in tears. Keep reading below to find out what happened.

According to Courtney’s Instagram account this past weekend, the actress got into a terrifying car crash. She posted a photo from the scene and when another fan wrote, “What just happened,” she responded with, “I’m okay, but be safe out there, guys.”

She then posted another video expressing just how horrible she felt over the entire ordeal, but added that she found some positivity from the experience. Courtney said, “I’m really drained, but I am just so thankful that everyone involved was okay. I also just have to say, the most wild experience is just how positive and overwhelmingly beautiful it ended up being, hanging out with the guy and his family and my family. Also, the people who witnessed and stayed for hours and the workers.”

Courtney continued, “By the end we were laughing and taking photos. I know that sounds absolutely crazy and ridiculous but I was in shock of how in such a really heavy moment something beautiful can come out of it.”

Maybe of her followers commented on the matter with, “So fortunate! If someone was badly injured, Courtney’s story would not have been so upbeat. They were very lucky. It’s wonderful that she came out of this unscathed. She’s a special person. It’s no fun feeling the two cars collide, hearing the slam, & hoping you’re in one piece,” along with, “It’s hard to like a video like this but it’s wonderful to see that Courtney is OK after this accident. Her retelling of the moments after and how people came out to check on them is beautiful.”
