As many fans can recall, the actor, who was also known for his role on The Young and the Restless, died back on September 15th at the age of 43. Here’s what you need to know.
The gruesome details about Billy Miller’s death have been made public and of course, daytime television fans have a lot to say about it.
Many have taken to social media to express their dismay in the fact that some reports have detailed exactly what happened on the day that Billy had taken his life.
Billy’s mother, Patricia Miller, says that her son had dealt with mental health issues before his death. She said, “He fought a long, hard, valiant battle with bipolar depression for years. He did everything he could to control the disease.”
Some critics took to Twitter to write comments such as, “This is such disrespect. The stories released yesterday on the specifics of Billy Miller‘s death are disgusting. There is NO public interest in publishing that. His family – already forced once into releasing information in the face of lies being spread – deserve better.”
Another critic wrote, “Why the hell did the NYP feel the need to reveal how exactly Billy Miller died? No one needed to read that. Let him and his family be at peace. They have to sensationalize shit for clicks and ratings. They can’t let someone’s family be in peace.”
So far the Miller family has not responded to the report or any of the criticism about the report. Watch this space for more details to come.

Since it was Billy's own mother who informed the public, she must have believed there was a good reason to do so. One, there was so much talk, rumors and speculation, and she wanted to clear up any questions. I don't see anything wrong with her statement. Just try to imagine the pain she was (and still is) in. Then reading all the garbage that wasn't true and knowing some people would believe anything they read, had to be so hard. She wanted to put a stop to all the false information.
Also, maybe his family believes that telling the truth about his bipolar and his struggles, might make others who were suffering, decide to try to get some help.
Leave this family alone. They've been through enough.
