The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will comfort Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) over her romantic problems. With Nick himself having gone through a nasty breakup of his own making, might it turn into more?

Lily has been dealing with some tough insecurities in her relationship with first love Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei). Even though she’s tried to act like Heather Stevens’ (Vail Bloom) return to Genoa City permanently doesn’t bother her, she’s intimidated; but Daniel’s mother’s matchmaking doesn’t help.

Heather has custody of Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) granddaughter and Phyllis is fully team Heather because of Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) and trying to push the issue.

Lily senses Daniel gravitating back towards Heather because of an overreaction to Phyllis’ behavior at their housewarming get together. Perhaps Lily has been in denial about how much Daniel and Heather’s lingering connection bothers her, even though she’s glad for Lucy’s sake the co-parents are amicable.

Y & R Spoilers: Lily Winters Feels Like She’s On The Outside Looking In

Lily feels like she’s on the outside looking in and not a component in the Daniel-Heather-Lucy situation, much as she did when she and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) were together.

She kept insisting on being a third wheel in everything Billy and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) did with their children; and Billy and Lily gradually drifted apart. She could spot a close interaction between Daniel and Heather and look obviously upset by it, and Nick could see her upset and offer a shoulder.

Tea and sympathy could quickly evolve into drinks and sympathy and possibly even more if this happens at the Genoa City Athletic Club or perhaps Society. Usually, Crimson Lights isn’t so conducive to drunken nights of love, and neither is Society since neither have hotels attached, and who knows what happened to the once popular Grand Phoenix.

Lily feels like everything’s going wrong, worried about rehiring Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) or not and the Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) drama.

That’s nothing to what Nick just survived and came home from, although now Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) are sympathetic to a nut! Nick understands needing to get Claire Grace’s (Hayley Erin) DNA tested to disprove her and Jordan’s (Colleen Zenk) story.

But Nick probably won’t tell that story although he might talk about losing Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) again. Nick and Lily could become way more than sympathetic friends considering their common failed love stories!
