Say it isn’t so! The Young and the Restless comings and goings say that Elizabeth Hendrinkson is leaving the show. The actress, who is best known for her role as Chloe Mitchell on the hit CBS soap, dropped a major hint on her Instagram account on Sunday. It looks like she’s packing her bags and leaving Genoa City for good. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Elizabeth took to her Instagram Story to write, “Have to put an audition tape Tuesday am. Any west side actor friends have a good studio and set up? Lights and all that jazz. Let me know! Drop a girl a DM thanks!”

Wow! It goes without saying that many The Young and the Restless fans were shocked that Elizabeth made this announcement on social media. But then again, plenty of them have also pointed out that Chloe hasn’t had a very good storyline in many years and that her on-screen partner, Greg Rikaart, has certainly been spending more time on Days of Our Lives than Y&R.

Some have even taken to social media to comment with, “This is what happens when you have a Head Writer who can’t write for ALL the actors on the show. They don’t want to be scene fillers, they want to ACT, they want storylines and so do the viewers. Why has this been so difficult for more than a year now?” along with, “I’m pretty sure it’s not the first time she does it like other #YR actors said they do it. They’re actors and they want to act.”

Another fan wrote, “It doesn’t necessarily mean she’s leaving Y&R. Actors often do other projects while still on soaps, especially if they’re on recurring.”
