The Young and the Restless actress Courtney Hope has experienced a lot of love in her life, but if there’s one love that means the most to her, it’s the love that she has for her father. The actress, who is best known for her role as Sally Spectra on the hit CBS soap, recently honored her dad Phil on his 80th birthday. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Sharing several photos from her father’s birthday celebration with the rest of the family, Courtney wrote, “He’s shown me that if you enjoy life, keep being curious, take care of your body and your mind, prioritize peace and joy, never stop learning new perspectives, stay kind, honor your boundaries, laugh often, dance a bit, let music penetrate your heart and move you, hone your intuition, persevere despite fear, and cultivate your skills, work ethic and hobbies equally- then age really does just become a number.”
She then continued, “Life is what you make it, and this man has defied odds many may not have survived. His resilience and steady hand in the midst of fear and adversity has always been one of his greatest assets. Yet his compassion and empathy turn his experiences into deep wisdom. And that I can only define as true strength.”
Many of Courtney’s fans and followers commented on her post with, “Happy birthday Phil! Talk about setting the bar high, this dude is S tier dad. Plus he has great taste in music, absolute legend indeed!” along with, “Wow he looks great for his age. I honestly thought mid 60’s. Lucky you to have those youth preserved genes.”
Phil replied to his daughter’s sweet message with, “I am humbled by these words… thank you for being not only a great daughter but also a true friend… in addition that everyone for your nice comments… now on to 90.”
