Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Does Eric Really Love Sloan?

Days of Our Lives spoilers say that when it comes to this fictional town of Salem, it seems like you just don’t know who you can trust! But when it comes to Eric and Sloan, it seems like their love may be the real deal. At least, that’s what actor Greg Vaughan believes when it comes to his on-screen character and the love of her life. Here’s what he has to say about it.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Does Eric Really Love Sloan?

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Greg was asked if Eric truly loves Sloan, despite the baby swap ordeal they are currently dealing with. Greg explained that when it comes to his character, he certainly doesn’t do anything half-hearted. He’s all in, or nothing at all. However, he does add that he was caught off guard by the relationship at first.

The actor put it this way, “He was on a bad path of being promiscuous and being with Jada. He’s really not a guy who’s going to hop in and out of bed. He’s a very monogamous individual. He loves deeply, to a fault. So he cautiously went along engaging in their relationship to cultivate it and see if it could potentially become something greater than it was, and it did. It evolved.”

But seeing a different side to Sloan made Eric really, truly want to be with her. That’s because they have a common goal: a family and a future. He said, “Then learning how much a family meant to her… She said all the right things. She talked about all the things that Eric longed for in his life. That’s all he’s ever wanted, is a family. He didn’t get that with the love of his life; he didn’t get that with Nicole. Eric thought, ‘Maybe I should just embrace this [new relationship]. This is my path. This is what God has for me. He brought me this vivacious woman who’s not afraid to be one of the guys and just have fun.’ It was good for Eric.”
