The Young and the Restless news says there’s a rumor suggesting Hayley Erin was fired from the soap back in 2010. Hayley first played Abby Newman on the show before she was replaced by Emme Rylan. The actress then came back this year to play villain Claire Grace. Here’s what you need to know.
There’s some speculation on Twitter that Haley might have been fired from The Young and the Restless back in 2010, but that has not been confirmed.
One soap fan wrote, “In the long run, #YR firing Hayley Erin in 2010 was for the best for her. Now she gets to play a Kendall Hart archetype who could generate story for years if they don’t fuck it up. Meanwhile, Abby is just there hanging around like an auntie character.”
Others have commented on the matter with, “At the time people were saying sending her and Noah off was to free up $ for Graziadei but that doesn’t seem to jive with the amount of other bigger named people they’ve brought on this year,” along with, “She’s also acting much better…. Some her lines still come across sooooo fake yet. Best is when she is sad and angry. The “did you hurt my aunt” and few more lines were bad. She needs to work on consistency.”
So far Hayley Erin herself has not made any comments about the matter, but that doesn’t seem to matter as many The Young and the Restless fans think she is absolutely killing it as Claire on the show.
Even if her character doesn’t last by the end of the year, this is still one of the most memorable performances that soap fans have seen in a very long time. Either way, The Young and the Restless fans will have to tune in each and every day to find out what happens next!
