General Hospital spoilers say that fans have been seeing a different side of young Charlotte Cassadine that they’ve never seen before. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, actress Scarlett Fernandez, who plays Charlotte on the hit ABC soap says that she didn’t feel nervous at all about coming back to work after a long hiatus. In fact, it felt like coming back home for her. She also said that she’s honored to play Charlotte at this stage in her life, even with her troubled psyche and mental health issues. The actress put it this way, “It’s definitely an honor because when I was little, I was getting storylines, but this is just crazy! I kind of feel like I’m treated like an adult on the show now, almost, and it’s just been great. I’ve been given great stuff and the fact that Frank and all of his co-workers have trusted me has just been an amazing feeling.”
Scarlett also admitted that Charlotte is quite aware that the people in her life – namely Laura, Valentin and Anna – don’t believe everything that the young girl is telling them. Some even believe that it’s Victor’s fault that Charlotte thinks Anna is such a threat to her.
The actress sai, “I think that she definitely realizes that the people around her don’t believe her and don’t trust her and I think that really frustrates her because she completely believes that Anna is out to get her. So that [the adults in her life don’t believe her] is hard for her.”
