Days of our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for the week of November 27, 2023 show just one significant departure from Salem, as the town braces for its annual holiday madness.

DOOL spoilers: The week of November 27, 2023 a Bad Guy Departs

Gil Carter (David S. Lee) was shot and killed after he would not take no for an answer. Gil was Clyde Weston’s (James Read) henchman but when he came upon a fierce woman determined to protect herself from his ugly advances, he signed his death warrant.

Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) had been forced by Clyde to work Gil in service to his prison-run drug ring.

By extension, Ava was to answer to Gil, Clyde’s man on the outside. Ava never much cottoned to oily Gil, but she defended herself after he attempted to sexually assault her. Lee has a newbie, debuting just last month.

Why, you ask, would Ava choose to be Clyde’s eyes and ears on the outside? Good question!

DOOL Spoilers: Ava Had No Choice

Clyde made it clear to her that her son Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) would be harmed if she refused. As a forewarning Clyde managed to have Tripp sliced while on duty at the hospital. After sending his not-so-subtle message, Ava knew what she had to do.

So much for Ava’s claim to want to turn over a new leaf as she told her hunk Harris Michael (Steve Burton). Now she’s lying to him and even implicating him by stealing his keys for Clyde.

Ava may not be an active mobstress anymore, but it could be their ‘snitches get stitches’ code that keeps her from confessing to Harris. Plus, she may think that confiding in him would only result in him, and Tripp, being retaliated against.

DOOL Spoilers: Ava on the Ropes

For now Ava will stay silent, although she is correct that her manslaughter was self-defense. Harris has vowed to help her fight the charges, if any, but how will he feel when he learns he’s being lied to in the process?
