Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are looking to spend the Christmas holiday in the UK for the first time in years but if there’s one person who is going to put a stop to it, you better believe that it’s going to be Prince William himself. In fact, there’s heavy speculation that the Prince of Wales is going to do everything in his power to sabotage Harry and Meghan’s upcoming trip back to the UK. Here’s what you need to know.
According to the Daily Beast, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are looking to spend Christmas at Sandringham with King Charles and the rest of the royal family. The last time that Harry and Meghan spent the holidays with the royals was back in 2018. This was before they pulled the plug on their working relationship with the royal family and of course, before they welcomed their two children, Archie and Lilibet as well. If Harry and Meghan do come to the UK for Christmas, this will be the first time that King Charles will get to spend a holiday with his California Christmas.
But then again, this might be the kind of holiday dinner that King Charles won’t want to attend. That’s because his other son Prince William has made it pretty clear that he never wants to speak to his brother Harry again, let alone be in the same room as him or his wife, Meghan Markle. If Harry and Meghan do come to the UK next month, Prince William will do whatever it takes to make sure that he and Kate Middleton are not in the same place at the same time as the Sussexes. He won’t ever forgive his little brother for throwing him under the bus in the way that he did in his tell-all book, Spare.
So far Harry and Meghan have not confirmed their Christmas plans but at this point, anything can happen at any time. Watch this space.
