General Hospital fans aren’t really feeling Adam’s current storyline on the show. In fact, a lot of people can’t help but wonder why Joshua Benard, who happens to be Maurice Benard’s son, is getting a major storyline of his own when there are so many legacy characters on the show that are always being put on the backburner. According to the latest General Hospital episodes, something just isn’t adding up for Adam. While it seems like Adam has shown many different sides to his character so far, a lot of viewers can’t help but notice that he’s been in pain lately.
Some think that he might be dealing with anxiety, which is triggering his headaches and his migraines. He’s also totally stressed out about getting into a good medical school.
There’s a very good chance that Adam will have a mental breakdown which of course will give Maurice Benard an opportunity to talk about mental health issues even more off-screen.
But for some General Hospital fans, they can’t help but woner why Joshua is given this much camera time when another actor could easily do the job. Is it all because of nepotism? Perhaps.
It goes without saying that many General Hospital fans have had a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some have even commented with, “Is there a point to this Adam story other than to give Maurice’s kid a paycheck?
I’m just not feeling it,” along with, “I’m so irritated. I was going to tweet about it and deleted it. Nothing against him but why are we seeing this? My faves haven’t had story in years but he comes on with story of his own?”
Another critic wrote, “It’s Maurice’s kid, it’s about mental health. Two of Mo’s favorite things. That’s the only reason I can see. Still it doesn’t seem right.”
So far neither Joshua Benard nor his father Maurice Benard have made any comments about the criticism. Watch this space.

The kids an actor and doing a great job. Geesh people. Just knock it off and enjoy where the story takes you. I don’t care who’s son he is.
