Prince William Wants To Leave The Royal Family?

Royal Family News suggests there’s a lot of chatter going on in Kensington Palace these days with very strong speculation that Prince William might be looking to leave the royal family. In fact, the comments he made in Singapore suggests that he might already have one foot out the door. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Prince William Wants To Leave The Royal Family?

According to People, Prince William told reporters during his four-day visit to Singapore that he wants to go a “step further” than his family and bring “big change.” Now, as far as what kind of change the Prince of Wales is talking about, one can only guess but there’s some people thinking that he wants to go beyond his royal duties.

In an interview with the PA Media, William said, “I care about so many things, and previously the family have been very much spotlighting brilliantly and going round and highlighting lots – I want to go a step further. I want to actually bring change, and I want to bring people to the table who can do the change if I can’t do it. And so it’s all about progressing, helping and advancing particular social causes that need to be given more support.”

Royal Family News: What’s Next For The Prince Of Wales?

He continued, “I’ve been in the homelessness sector for a long time now, and so rather than just being patron, I want to do more — I want to actually build the homes, I want to provide them with the mental support, all the employment and the education they might need.”

It goes without saying that many royal critics certainly did raise their eyebrows over Prince William’s comments. Royal author Omid Scobie said on Twitter, “Big words from Prince William in Singapore. Not sure how King Charles—whose Prince’s Trust has been positively impacting the lives of young people since the 1970s—would feel about this take.”

Others wrote, “I don’t like the royal family behavior towards each other and how out of touch they seem a lot throughout their time on earth and how they feel like they have to be perfect image wise but struggling behind closed doors don’t have answers don’t know how to talk listen to each other,” along with, “Pathetic really. He wants to do this, he wants to do that, yet he’s done nothing. He talks but doesn’t do.”
