The Young and the Restless news says that they were both on the same soap for a very long time and even shared many scenes together. Not only that, but they also have the same last name. This has prompted a lot of people to wonder: are Doug Davidson and Eileen Davidson related? Are they siblings? Or maybe cousins? Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Doug Davidson on October 24, 1954 in Glendale, California while Eileen Davidson was born in Artesia, California on June 15, 1959. Even though they share the same last name and have shared the same scene many times in the past, no, they are not related. It just happens to be a coincidence that two cast members of The Young and the Restless have the same name.
Back in July 2023, Doug took a rather harsh swipe at the soap. Even though it’s been some time since Paul Williams was last seen on the canvas, Doug finally cleaned out his dressing room. Doug took to his Twitter account to write, “Well, I cleaned out my dressing room a week ago Saturday. Yes it was sad for several reasons. 1. It was my home for over 40 years and it was like a ghost town. Price has left, and the new owner of TV City isn’t really keeping it up. The sets were all small and a bit tired.”
Yikes!
Eileen, meanwhile, has been on and off on the canvas. Back in September, it looked like Ashley was taking a long break from Genoa City. During an episode of The Young and the Restless, Tucker sent Ashley a text message that said, “Are you up for a trip to Paris? Honeymoon? Meet me at the airport. I need to get away from all of this.”
Thankfully, Eileen came back just a few short weeks later. However, it doesn’t look like Doug will be coming back anytime soon.
