So, how old is Matthew Atkinson? As of press time, he is 34 years old. His birthday is on December 31, 1988, which makes him a New Year’s Eve baby. How fun! In comparison, his The Bold and the Beautiful co-star Annika Noelle is 36 while Scott Clifton is 39. Thorsten Kaye, who plays Ridge Forrester on the show, is 57.

Last year, Matthew opened up about some of his likes and dislikes. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, when asked what his takes on clowns are (out of all the possible questions in the universe), Matthew said, “There are two schools of thought on clowns: love them or hate them. I’ve never cared for clowns. It’s not negative. They don’t scare me. I’m guess I’m neutral.”

In 2022, Matthew admitted that it was love at first sight when he first met Maisel, who happens to be his girlfriend’s dog. When asked about her disposition (the dog, not the girlfriend), Matthew said, “I immediately fell in love with that dog, and I never really thought about Dalmatians because you don’t really see them that often, but she is the sweetest dog in the world. She is so smart, and she’s kind of cunning. She knows what she’s doing. She gets what she wants. She’s too pretty for her own good. She also has way too much energy for her own good, but she is so incredibly smart.”

The Bold and the Beautiful: What’s Next For Thomas Forrester?

Matthew also said that because he’s so used to hearing people call him Thomas, he wouldn’t mind changing his first last name. He said back in February, “My first name isn’t actually Matthew. It’s John but I go by Matthew and have since I was a kid. If I had to change it, I actually like Thomas. That is a great name.”

The Bold and the Beautiful is lucky to have an actor as talented and handsome as Matthew Atkinson on the canvas. Plus, this fictional town of Los Angeles just wouldn’t be the same without Matthew as Thomas Forrester – he basically owns the character at this point.
