By now you’d think that Sally Spectra would have become a major player in the Genoa City world of fashion on The Young and the Restless, but that hasn’t happened. In fact, many fans of the show believe that the writers have wasted a huge opportunity by bringing Sally to the show from The Bold and the Beautiful and not giving her the edge that she still had when she was back in Los Angeles. Here’s what you need to know.
Did Sally Spectra love her mojo? That’s what some The Young and the Restless fans can’t help but wonder as the Sally we see today certainly isn’t the same Sally we saw back when she was on B&B. Just to summarize, The Young and the Restless brought in Sally Spectra to be CEO of Newman Media for five minutes, make a dress for Victoria, ping pong between two brothers, carry a Newman baby, and sit in a hotel room with a tablet. What gives?
Of course, many soap fans have had a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some even commented with, “It’s messed up because they made her completely aimless when Fashion was a huge part of who she was. And not so she could go down a new career path…but to hype round 86 of the Newman brothers fight over a woman,” along with, “It’s worse what they have done to sharon. Sharon has been on the show a lot longer & is imprisoned in a coffee shop. Finally, give her a story & rush threw it & shove sally in our faces in the middle of it. so disrespectful to Sharon she’s got company yet still in the coffee shop.”
Another Y&R critic wrote, “Watching Sally is as bad as watching Chloe having to take orders from summer. She is such a spoiled brat. Is there no way that #YR can put Chloe/Sally/Chelsea in their own company and make them hugely successful. They are wasting her talent, I hope she gets a better storyline.”

Sally has been forced on the viewing fans. Do not care for her at all. Best thing for her is to be written out. Sharon has been around for a long time, she and Nick should be together, instead, Sally has been given more time and is trammpy. Better if she is written out and more core characters given more airtime. There is more, so much to write about than the likes of someone like Sally ready to hope in bed with which ever brother is around. More stories and less Sally going to bed
