The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Courtney Hope, who plays Sally Spectra on the hit CBS soap, admitted that she doesn’t like the direction that her character is going in. That’s because Sally has lost that bad girl side of her that we haven’t seen since she was on The Bold and the Beautiful. And of course, fans want to see it back. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Courtney admitted that Sally Spectra has really been behaving lately and that the Sally we’ve been seeing in this fictional town of Genoa City is not the same Sally that we saw back in Los Angeles. When asked if Sally is a good girl now, Courtney said, “No, not really. She’s kind of gotten a little mainstream but I don’t think that’s really who she is. I would really like to see her spicifiness come back.”

Clearly, Courtney just said what a lot of The Young and the Restless fans have been saying on social media for the longest time now. Everyone wants to see the old Sally back. Courtney also said of her character, “I would say that Sally’s very rebellious and doesn’t follow the rules. I wouldn’t even necessarily say rule breaker, but she’s a rule challenger. She definitely goes against the grain and walks to the beat of her own drum.”

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: What’s Next For Sally Spectra?

Now, as far as what’s next for Sally Spectra remains to be seen but something tells us that she might end up taking a step back with Adam Newman now that Nick Newman has dumped her. Whatever happens to Sally, let’s just hope that she does get her spunk back because that’s what fans want to see the most in her. Our girl Sally needs to cause a little trouble!
