General Hospital Spoilers: Esme Opens the Door for Spencer to Adopt Ace

General Hospital Spoilers suggest Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) recently got a painful earful from his girlfriend, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) about his relationship with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl).

Trina wasn’t exactly wrong either. Esme does seem to be enjoying “playing house” with Spencer, but the anger that was clear in the undercurrent of her lambasting was that Spencer was also pretty keen on their happy situation with Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay).

Trina can’t fault him for wanting to be in his baby brother’s life, but she is concerned that Spencer thinks he can replace Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) in it.

When he makes bolder moves in an attempt to do just that, Trina may not necessarily support him. This could leave their relationship flailing in the wind.

General Hospital Spoilers — Trina Rattled Spencer

Trina didn’t hold back when she told Spencer he won’t always be living with Ace and helping to raise him. Someday, Esme and Ace will move out of Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) apartment and into their own home.

It may not even be that far off. Spencer has looked at Esme as being so helpless and reliant upon him and his grandmother that he has never really considered this outcome until now.

As he continues to weigh his worries of what might happen down the road, he may start looking for a way to make his situation more permanent.

GH Spoilers Say Esme Agrees Change is Inevitable

An honest conversation with Esme could go a long way in calming Spencer’s fears, but it’s also going to give her the upper hand. It will clue Esme in to what Spencer is really fearing: losing Ace — and her.

Esme may twist this to her advantage and try to leverage what she knows about Spencer’s feelings to gain some control over his emotions. Will she manipulate him into drawing nearer to her just to stay close to Ace? Can she use this to break him apart from Trina?

General Hospital Spoilers — A Father For Christmas

When Esme suggests that Spencer pursue adoption of his baby brother, he may be stunned. Sure, Nikolas is alive and Laura has proof of that.

But if Nikolas doesn’t come around to contest it, Spencer could have a shot at becoming Ace’s father. It’s not likely that Nik is going to poke his head into the situation now because he would be arrested if he set foot in Port Charles.

Unable to pursue the legal matter, he may have to step aside and let Spencer move in on his territory. Where will it leave Trina and Spencer though?
