The Bold and the Beautiful news says that once again, there are some critics out there who are confusing the portrayer from the actual character. While there’s no doubt that a lot of people either agree or disagree with some of the things that Hope Logan has said or done on the small screen, it’s not like the character’s portrayer has anything to do with what direction Hope is going in, especially when it comes to her love life. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what Annika had to explain to her fans when one social media follower slammed Annika and called her a hypocrite for standing up for women’s rights when Hope doesn’t really do the same in front of the cameras. Here’s what you need to know.
Earlier this week Annika felt like answering some of her fans’ questions on her Instagram account. One particular fan wrote, “Do you feel like a hypocrite by supporting thope (as in Hope and Thomas Forrester’s relationship) because you supposedly stand up for women’s rights.
That’s when Annika went off. She began by writing, “I’m a professional actor who is paid to say what is written for me in a script and promote such work. Rain or shine. Whether or not we agree with the story or our character’s choices,” while also adding, “I am not going to only support one fan base over another or get involved in social media wars.”
It goes without saying that many BB fans had a lot to say about the matter on social media. Some even commented with, “Good for Annika! I am glad she stood up for herself! Hope is a character on a soap! Annika shouldn’t be judged for things her character does! She’s an actress playing a fictional character,” along with, “Yeah I was afraid of something like this only I thought it would happen on the sl with the character Hope herself. Interesting it happened with the actor. Just shows you how many viewers/fans out there are truly upset with this new turn of events.”
Another fan wrote, “By now you would think that folks know that what is shown on TV isn’t real. Next, they may think the characters in a novel are real.”
