The Young and the Restless alum Doug Davidson just wants to set the record straight now that there’s so much information spreading about his illness and the reason for his hospitalization. As many fans know by now, Doug was hospitalized after he fell sick with COVID soon after he returned from his trip to the Dominican Republic. Here’s what you need to know.

Earlier this week, Doug took to his Instagram account to share with his fans that he had been hospitalized because of COVID. He wrote in his post, “As some of you are aware, I came back from the Dominican Republic with Covid. After three days, I had significant trouble breathing.”

Doug’s visit to the hospital was a short one, but it still left all of his family, friends and fans concerned about his health, especially since he just got home from a trip abroad. Well, now fans certainly have a lot of questions and thankfully Doug has answers. When one Twitter follower asked him, “Everyone get the new covid shot. Obviously, you caught it on the plane.I would love to know how many people on your plane trip home got sick.Get the shot now! Do not wait any longer. Also get the flu and mmr vaccines!” Doug replied with, “I did not catch it on the plane.”

The Young and the Restless Star Doug Davidson Is Back On The Mend

Another fan wrote, “Maybe he should have gotten the vaccine,” to which Doug replied with, “What makes you think I didn’t?”

Thankfully Doug is feeling much better as he’s slowly but surely putting all of this behind him. But with that said, it would sure be nice to have Doug back on The Young and the Restless, right? One can only hope. Watch this space as we have a feeling that this won’t be the last time that we’ll be hearing from Doug.
