Stephanie tries to be understanding, but at the same time she’s hurt that Chad keeps rejecting her offer to come with him to the cemetery to visit Abigail’s grave. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, actor Billy Flynn, who plays Chad on the hit Peacock soap, says, “Chad tries to be honest with Stephanie, but he’s not being very inclusive of her regarding his feelings. He doesn’t feel right bringing her there. He’s holding that close to the vest. He doesn’t know how to address it.”

Days of Our Lives spoilers say all of this is making Chad think twice about the next steps that he wants to take in his relationship with Stephanie. He’s not sure if it’s the right thing to do moving forward. Billy says, “Obviously, the subject of marriage has been coming up with Chad and Stephanie, and that’s triggered a lot of Chad’s memories about Abigail and their marriage.”

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: What’s Next For Chad?

The actor continued, “It certainly is affecting things. It’s an obstacle moving forward with Stephanie. It all came up pretty quick. Her dad was over and brought it up, ‘When are you guys going to tie the knot?’ That started the progression of maybe Stephanie is ready, but Chad is realizing that maybe he is not. For Chad, the idea of things getting more serious brings up the fact that there’s a higher chance that he’s going to lose somebody again.”
