The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, October 13 tease that warring siblings Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) are on the same page in regard to their father Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Hades must be freezing over for these two to be aligned for once, so let’s dissect what is happening in Genoa City, Wisconsin since it’s way too early for wintertime snow right now.

Victoria is arguably her father’s favorite child, but her raging insecurity has never allowed her to warm up to black sheep son Adam.

So maybe she has a hidden agenda when she allows herself to be open to Adam and hear him out? That could be, but these two also have very real concerns about Victor Newman’s mental apparatus.

For example, explosive show spoilers reveal that Victor calls Adam ‘Nicholas’ (Joshua Morrow) which is the name of his other son. Maybe this isn’t such a big deal if it occurred in isolation, but Victoria has been ranting lately that Victor is off his game.

Victoria and Adam could share notes about Victor’s behavior and decide to keep each other notified of any other troubling actions on Victor’s part, which would be heartwarming considering how vicious they’ve been to each other in the past.

Given Victor’s manipulations and machinations, it’s almost tempting to feel sorry for his spawn. Almost, but not quite. Victor is right to test his kids, as they have proven to be backstabbers in the past—then again they’ve learned at the hand of the master.

In a delicious confession, Victor lets his wife Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) in on his shenanigans. Will she try to talk him out of this outrageous agenda? She won’t mind if Adam takes the bait, but she feels differently about Victoria and Nick.

Meanwhile, Nick does his best to make sure his dad is ok, as he told Victoria he would. What does Victor have in mind for testing Nick? You might be surprised!
