Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Matthew, who is best known for his role as Thomas Forrester on B&B, admitted that before he became an actor, he had different career aspirations. When asked to share a tidbit that his fans don’t know about him, Matthew said, “I think very few people in the cast know that I was a skateboarder. That was the intention of my life for a period of time. I wanted to just be a professional skateboarder and I skated for years and did little competitions and wanted to take it professional.”

Back in April, Matthew also opened up about what he really thought about his co-stars. He was asked his thoughts about Scott Clifton, who plays Liam spencer on the show. He said, “I knew coming in that he was a good guy. Scott is one where you can be antagonistic on screen and they yell, ‘Cut,’ and then it’s back to the real world. We joke around a lot. We’ve hung out together outside the studio, and we have a lot of common interests.”

Now, as far as what he thinks about Annika Noelle (Hope Logan), Matthew said, “She is such an emotionally driven person. In my first couple of weeks, we had so many scenes and she was so easy to get along with. I think we felt a good connection from the get-go. It felt like we were both in the trenches and trying to make it work. I just remember us being there to help each other and vibe off each other and answer questions for each other.”
