What is going on with Krista Allen and her character, Taylor Hayes? Is there a reason why Taylor has not been a part of a significant storyline in such a long time? It seems like after Ridge Forrester decided that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Brooke Logan, the writers really didn’t know what to do with Taylor. While she does appear from time to time to give out her unsolicited advice, she hasn’t had a romance or even a one night affair to keep viewers interested in her character. 

There’s always the possibility that Krista Allen just can’t commit herself to the show right now. Several months ago, it was reported that she was dealing with some personal family issues and that she needed to take a break from the soap. Even fans noticed that she was missing from quite a few episodes. Krista eventually came back, but it seemed like the writers reduced her role significantly as just a day player.
