General Hospital News: Tyler Christopher Says Soaps Are Not For Him Anymore, But Is Looking For Work

In a new interview with the Digital Journal, the handsome actor did admit that he is waiting for the next big thing to happen in his career. However, he did point out that he’s not looking to take a step back and go back to the daytime television world. Instead, he wants to focus on what’s ahead. He told the site, “I’m not on daytime anymore, so I don’t work every day. I am in a new chapter in my life.”

That said, Tyler did go down memory lane and opened up about one of his most emotional scenes on General Hospital. He said that winning the Daytime Emmy for Best Lead Actor while he was still on the show as Nikolas Cassadine was one of the best years in his life. And that’s something that many of his fans can agree on, too.

General Hospital News: What’s Next For Tyler Christopher?

Tyler explained, “I thanked everyone in my acceptance speech, especially the people that took me under their wing and mentored me from the very start… I singled out each one of them. These included Anthony Geary, Genie Francis, Stephen Nichols, and Jonathan Jackson, who was very young at the time. I used to spend a lot of time with Jonathan Jackson and his family, which was ironic and unique because I was so much older.”

Now, whether or not Tyler ever returns to the daytime television world remains to be seen but it’s clear that he’s most on at this point. With that said though, there’s no doubt that his fans are going to support him no matter where he goes or what he does in his career.
