According to the latest edition of Soap Opera Digest, Leo pretty much owns up to it. But that doesn’t stop Gwen from excoriating him over his deception. Actor Greg Rikaart, who plays Leo on the hit Peacock soap, puts it this way, “He feels equal parts relief, in some ways, that he’s not harboring this secret anymore. But he’s also pretty devastated for betraying the most important person in his life. Well, second to Dimitri, I guess.”

But that of course doesn’t stop Gwen from unleashing her anger at Leo. Greg explains, “He says that he never meant to hurt her, but it was just a force he couldn’t keep at bay. He begs her for forgiveness. He feels like he either has a long road ahead of him to try and win back Gwen’s trust or it’s over. But he’s hoping that there’s at least a chance.”

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: What’s Next For Gwen?

Yet, Gwen can’t help but tell him – and even show – him how she really feels about all of this. Greg says, “She’s pretty furious and what she says is pretty devastating to Leo. She basically says their friendship is over, that Leo betrayed her cuts really deep.”

For Leo, he understands that Gwen is angry and that’s why he’s backing away. He also knows that things will never be the same between him and Gwen. Greg says, “this whole time Leo’s been torn and conflicted, because he’s really fallen hard and fast for Dimitri. But he also felt terrible about the cost at which that relationship should come.”
