Sure, Adam Newman has had a lot of romances in the past, but truth be told, he’s the kind of guy that is always out for himself. It might be because of the trust issues that he’s had with his mother and his father or the fact that he’s always had to fend for himself.

Adam is always the black sheep of the Newman family. But you would think that after being treated the way that he has been treated by his family members for so long now, he would have packed his bags and left this fictional town of Genoa City by now. But that hasn’t happened. For some reason, he insists on staying around even though he’s often used as a punching bag by his brother, Nick Newman, and is totally disrespected by his sister, Victoria Newman. For someone who knows that no one wants him there, it just doesn’t make sense for Adam to stay as long as he has. He’s smart enough that he can start his own business somewhere else and not deal with the unhealthy dynamics between him, his father Victor, and his siblings.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: What’s Next For Adam Newman?

Another thing that doesn’t make sense about Adam Newman is that he keeps pinning for Sally Spectra. By now, you would have thought that he would have let that go, but he hasn’t. He’s never had to fight for someone like this before and especially not with Sharon Newman or even Chelsea Newman. But with Sally, it seems like Adam is fighting for something that he knows he can’t have, but wants it anyway. The real Adam that we know would have been chased after, and not doing the chasing himself.
