The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say that if there’s anything that we’ve learned about the world of soap operas, it’s that no one is really dead, even if they are presumed to be dead. There have been so many resurrections over the years that you’d think that a fictional town of Los Angeles like this would have nothing but walking ghosts around. That may or may not be one of the reasons why actress Susan Flannert (ex-Stephanie Forrester) is hesitant about returning to the soap world. Here’s what you need to know about her comeback.
In an interview with We Love Soaps, Susan said that bringing back a character from the dead is just not a storyline that interests her. In fact, she says that it’s been overdone in the daytime television world. Susan put it this way, “She said, “As soon as you say something is dead and gone, then it has a resurrection. It’s not just soaps, it’s network television, they’ve been dinosaurs for 15 years. The business as it’s been is all going to change.”
Susan also told TV Guide that even if she were offered a great role back on The Bold and the Beautiful, she wouldn’t take it. That’s because that part of her life is over and it’s something that she doesn’t want to revisit, either. She said, “I really only think about that part of my life when somebody calls me. I don’t mean to be unkind or anything. I had a great run and a wonderful time, but there’s a time to go. And when you go it’s over. You don’t look back.”
Now, as far as whether or not the character would ever be recast, it’s safe to say that producers would have done it already. So for B&B fans to see Stephanie Forrester on the canvas again would only happen if Susan Flannery would come back. And from the looks of it, when she says no, she really means it. Sorry, kids.
The Bold and the Beautiful fans will have to tune in every day to find out what will happen next.
