This is not a Throwback Thursday post, but it definitely deserves a mention. As many soap fans know by now, The Young and the Restless and General Hospital alum Billy Miller passed away on Friday, September 15th. While the cause of his death is unknown, reports say that he had suffered from manic depression. Well, there was one time in his career that he was definitely on cloud nine with The Bold and the Beautiful star Scott Clifton. That’s because the two men managed to shock the daytime television world together. Here’s what happened.

Soon after it was announced that Billy Miller had died on Friday, Scott Clifton was one of the first soap opera stars to say something about his passing on social media. Billy died on Friday, September 15th. The cause of his death is still unknown. He shared a throwback photo of the two men hugging one another with their Daytime Emmy awards. He captioned his post with, “This is not fair. We deserved so much more of him. Rest in peace, Billy. You’re immortal now.”

Many of Scott’s social media fans followed up in the comments section with, “What an amazing moment this picture represents- what a heartbreaking loss to all that loved him. RIP Billy Miller. Just too young,” along with, “Charismatic. Exceptional. Electrifying. Billy Miller brought a sense of realism to every character he portrayed. Rest in peace!”

Another fan wrote, “What the?!!! Man. So sorry to hear of this! There are too many wonderful humans this year alone leaving us too early. Most in suicide. Dial 988 if ur contemplating ending ur life. Ur existence is needed to live a full life with loved ones. Sending much strength and hugs to u all at Y&R and to his family. RIP Billy.”
