The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Doug Davidson Feuding With Michael Damian?

This seems so not like him, but then again, it seems like feuds can easily happen off screen as much as they appear on screen, too. The Young and the Restless news says there’s some speculation that Doug Davidson might or might not be feuding with his former co-star Micahel Damian. That’s because in a surprise move, he slighted the actor’s character in a new interview where he talked about his reasons for leaving the show. Here’s what you need to know.

In an interview with Soap Hub, Doug made it pretty clear that he’s none too pleased with the fact that he is no longer on the show. While there was some effort made in trying to bring him back after he was subsequently fired in 2018, that never happened. But apparently, there was another reason why Doug felt as though both he and his character’s legacy were both disrespected. That’s because other actors who were brought on board were supposedly offered more money than him. During his interview, Doug couldn’t help but mention Michael Damian’s character, Danny.

He said, “There are plenty of story wheels that would work. But that’s not the reason [I’m not there]. Paul is more expensive than Danny. That’s what it’s all about.”

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: What’s Next For Doug Davidson?

It goes without saying that many The Young and the Restless fans have had a lot to say about the matter on social media. Many of them have made it clear that they believe Doug Davidson should be given a fair chance to come back and that he should be compensated by how much he’s worth. Now, whether or not that will happen is all up to the producers of The Young and the Restless, of course. However, Doug has made it pretty clear that chapter of his life is closed and that he wants to move on with his life already.
