Just this past week, Prince Harry surprised many onlookers by leaving Windsor Castle. He was there to pay his respects to his beloved grandmother Queen Elizabeth, who died this time last year at the age of 96. Apparently, Buckingham Palace was stunned that the Duke of Sussex would make such a public appearance when the rest of the royal family said they would be remembering the late Queen of England in private. 

And that’s exactly what Prince William and Kate Middleton were supposed to do before the Duke of Sussex arrived in the UK and stole everyone’s thunder. It was reported earlier that William and Kate were going to honor the queen’s memory privately at home with their children. But the moment Prince Harry showed up, they changed their plans. It didn’t take very long for William and Kate to hop on a plane and travel to Wales and show up at a church white white roses that they laid next to a photo of Queen Elizabeth. Needless to say, they did it all in front of the media’s cameras, too.

Are William And Kate Being Too Competitive?

Because of what they did, Prince William and Kate Middleton are being criticized for being so competitive about making the headlines before Prince Harry can. Could it be that the Prince and Princess of Wales are truly jealous of the Duke of Sussex? Maybe. But to use the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s death as a way to compete for attention seems to be wrong for many royal fans and critics alike.
