The Bold and the Beautiful star Diamond White (Paris Buckingham) wants to stop with the inappropriate castings. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
In an interview with People magazine back in February, the talented actress did admit that she didn’t feel all too comfortable having love scenes with older actors on “The Bold and the Beautiful.” In fact, she admitted that she was downright scared. She put it this way, “The only time it gets difficult is when I have to do love scenes. The only time I get a little bit like, ‘Ah, I’m scared,’ is when I have to be half-naked with a guy who’s twice my age.”
But Diamond did also added, “That’s the scary part. Other than that, it’s really fun being a part of the cast and it’s an awesome show.”
Diamond is only in her mid-twenties, while her co-stars Delon De Metz is ten years older and Lawrence Saint-Victor, is 40.
It goes without saying that many soap opera fans feel the exact same way. In fact, now that it’s been announced that actress Hayley Erin is joining the cast of The Young and the Restless, some fans think it would be inappropriate for her new character Claire to have a romantic storyline with older characters like Adam Newman and Nick Newman. Sure, Sharon Newman might have had a romance with Victor Newman, but those days are long gone. Viewers want to see relationships that are a little more age appropriate. There’s no doubt in anyone’s minds that the actors who are in front of the cameras probably feel the exact same way. Now, whether or not that happens remains to be seen. Watch this space as we have a feeling there is so much more to come.
