The Young and the Restless comings and goings say that a familiar face will soon join the cast of Genoa City once again. That’s because actress Hayley Erin, who was last seen in Port Charles on General Hospital, is making her way back to the daytime television scene. Keep reading below for everything you need to know!
According to Soap Opera Digest, the Daytime Emmy winner is making a u-turn back to her soap opera roots. As many fans can recall, Hayley played Kiki on General Hospital until she left the show in 2019 to focus on her series, Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists. She also played Abby from 2008 to 2010 on The Young and the Restless.
The publication says that Hayley will be playing a new character by the name of Claire Grace and that she will be looking to join the ranks of Newman Media sometime this fall. How exciting!
Back in 2018, Hayley opened up to Soap Opera Digest about her shocking exit from General Hospital after Kiki’s death. As many fans can recall, Hayley played Kiki Jerome, Ava Jerome’s daughter. At the time, she said, “It was sort of a cathartic way to leave and move on to my next project, the death of the character that I’ve been playing and loving for all these years. It was really the only option left.”
Hayley has always been a fan favorite so there’s no doubt that fans can’t wait to see what’s in store for her new character! So far Hayley herself has not made any comments about her new role, but there’s no doubt that her fans can’t wait to see her back ont he daytime television canvas. We have a feeling that her character is going to make a huge impact on more than a few Genoa City residents.
