Meghan Markle was supposed to be at the star-studded LAFC soccer game versus Inter Milan this past weekend, but it looks like she backed out at the very last minute. Even though Prince Harry was in attendance, his wife was nowhere to be found even though it was indicated earlier that she would be part of the celebrity lineup that night. Prince Harry looked like he was certainly having a great time watching Leo Messi and his Inter Miami squad take on the Los Angeles Football Club. Even though they lost, the Duke of Sussex looked like he was enjoying himself much more than when he was at the Beyonce concert with Meghan and his mother-in-law Doria Ragland a few days earlier. In fact, Harry looked like he would rather have been anywhere but at the concert that night as he kept looking at his phone throughout the entire time. Meghan and Doria meanwhile were having the time of their lives while dancing to Beyonce’s greatest hits.

So, why was Meghan Markle absent for the LA vs. Miami soccer game? Clearly, that’s what a lot of fans want to know. Many royal fans would assume that the Duchess of Sussex would want to be at the game seeing how there were so many high-profile names there such as Selena Gomez and Leonardo di Caprio. Plus, this was an opportunity for Meghan to be seen with Hollywood’s it crowd. It seems very out of character for someone like Meghan to stay at home, especially since she and Harry made such an effort to be seen together during the Beyonce concert.
