The Young and the Restless spoilers say that even fans have noticed that the neverending storyline between Victor Newman and his son Adam Newman simply isn’t going anywhere. In fact, it seems like many viewers are just tired of Victor constantly trying to humiliate Adam, even though he has mostly been regarded as the prodigal son of the Newman family. Yet, it seems like with every chance that he gets, Victor insists on pulling the rug from underneath him. And of course, Y&R fans want to know why. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Is it time to treat Adam Newman with a little respect? That’s what fans believe. For some reason, it’s like Victor just wants to prove to his son that he’s never going to be as great as he is. That, or Victor probably mistreats Adam in the way that he does mostly because he’s intimidated by him. But for many The Young and the Restless viewers, enough is enough.
Some have even taken to social media to comment on the matter with, “They need to do something else with Adam and Victor’s dynamic. This father vs. son thing has been going on for fifteen years now and we hardly have seen any development. And if there was development, Adam or Victor just needed one little tiny thing to get at each other again. It’s getting so boring,” along with, “Adam is constantly on the front burner … and I understand that Josh Griffith loves that character. I just don’t see any real character development. Four actors and countless stories that had an impact … or so you would think.”
Another The Young and the Restless critic wrote, “I agree about Victor and Adam. Uh, he’s been dead twice… once in a near fatal car accident and another in a near fatal house explosion. Victor has disowned him. Fired him. Jailed him. Threatened him. Embarrassed him. Took Newman away from him. McCall away from him. If that is failing UPWARD, I’d hate to see backwards.”
