General Hospital news says that this might be one of the many reasons why Kirsten Storms is rarely posting on social media anymore. A lot of fans and critics have noticed that Kirsten has been getting bullied online. That’s because her appearance has changed in the past year. Here’s what you need to know.
Anyone who has ever browsed the comments section of a soap opera article will know that the internet sometimes brings out the worst in people. Trolls have been attacking Kirsten for her looks. Some have written nasty comments such as, “She needs to start thinking about eating salads,” along with, “What is going on with Kirsten? She looks so unhealthy.”
If that all werent’ enough, there are even articles about Kirsten Storms’ supposed weight gain and how her brain surgery has impacted her health. Women MD Resources even pointed out that General Hospital fans have been noticing Kirsten’s weight gain and apparently wanted an explanation as to why she looks so different. But it goes without saying that Kirsten doesn’t owe anyone an explanation about anything, let alone about her personal life and her health. That might be one of the many reasons why she’s decided to stay so quiet on social media and so private about her life away from the cameras.
Back in April 2022, Kirsten sat down with her General Hosptial co-star Maurice Benard and opened up about her mental health struggles and being bipolar. She admitted to feeling very alone when it came to her feelings and that it took a very long time for her to get the help that she needed.
She said, “I’ve experienced a lot of mental-health issues. It was a really dark and bad time for me for a year and a half. It turns out that the the booster you are not supposed to give people with Bipolar I. I felt alone in my feelings for so long.”
So far Kirsten Storms herself has not made any comments about the criticism that she’s gotten although at this point it’s doubtful that she will.
