Days of Our Lives Spoilers: John-Paul Lavoisier Opens Up About His Return To Salem

Days of Our Lives actor John-Paul Lavoisier is back and from what we can tell, he’s better than ever before! The actor, who has reprised his role as Philip Kiriakis on the hit Peacock soap, recently opened up about his return to Salem and whether or not he would like to stay for the long haul. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, John-Paul admits that because he was brought back to Days of Our Lives so quickly, he really didn’t have much time to prepare or catch up on anything that he’s missed since he’s been gone. He says that the prep work basically happened on the first day that he got back to work and he began reading lines with his co-stars.

John-Paul recalled, “Nadia Bjorlin would catch me up a little bit. Eric Brady would catch me up a little bit. I remember filming a scene one day with Nadia and Paul Telfer. Right before we started, I thought, ‘Wait a second. I don’t know how much I hate Xander.’ I looked at Paul and said,’ How much do I hate you on a scale of one to 10?’ He said, ‘We don’t like each other. About a seven.’ I wanted to know how much fuel should be in my fire. Then we filmed the scene. I was getting caught up each day along the way.”

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: What’s Next For Philip Kiriakis?

John-Paul also said that behind the scenes, he got to connect with all of his co-stars. The talented actor also said that he would certainly be open to a more permanent run as Philip in the future. He said, “I’ll tell you, if I was offered a more permanent position which a large portion of my work day was spent with Eric, Martha, Nadia and Lauren, I would pay them.”
