Actor John Paul Lavoisier, who plays Philip on the hit Peacock soap, explains that his character has been receiving treatment at a mental health facility this entire time. John Paul also said that stepping into Philip’s shoes has been quite an experience for him, especially when he first reappeared in front of Chloe.

He said, “It’s one of the most vulnerable moments I’ve had as an actor in a scene in a really long time. I got so into character and so into the moment. It is almost a suffocating feeling, because of what I have to say as Philip and the confessions he has to make to Chloe and later to Brady. There is almost a groveling to it. He is feeling incredibly weak.”

Days of Our Lives spoilers say that Philip then says that Kate told him not to Salem, but he felt compelled to come for his father’s funeral and of course, he wanted to see Chloe, too. But, the moment that Philip tries to leave, he comes face to face with none other than Brady Black.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: What’s Next For Philip In Salem?

Eric Marstolf, who plays Brady on the show, says, “Brady basically sees a ghost. It’s his understanding that pHilip has most likely departed this earth; he’s gone and will never be coming back. His first reaction is to hug him and grab him, which is really interesting, because the inherent relationship is family. No matter what your family members so to you there sems to be an instinctual thing; you don’t want them dead.”
