Nikki, like Victor, is very protective of her daughter. She had a recent sit-down with Nate, telling him to recognize the situation he had gotten into.

Victoria is someone Nate admires and respects. Nikki said she will be okay with Nate as long as he maintains that stance but wanted him to recognize that if his connection to Victoria faltered that his career at Newman would likely be jeopardized.

Nate appeared to explain his way around what he termed support for Audra’s ideas. Victoria, like her father, does not want her employees, no matter their rank, to be pursuing efforts she has not initiated or greenlighted.

Victoria’s hold on power was recently challenged by Victor. He let her and those beneath her know that he still makes all major decisions in the family business.

As long as Nate’s loyalty to Victoria is in place, he will have no problem. But even one incident of disloyalty would likely spell the end on Y&R.
