General Hospital star Kelly Monaco, who is best known for her role as Sam McCall on the hit ABC soap, is one of the most private actresses in daytime television. Unlike some of her co-stars, she’s not someone who engages or reaches out to her fans on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Instead, she mostly keeps to herself and only posts something if it’s in regard to a family member, a milestone, or even a birthday. Otherwise, Kelly is someone who keeps her private life very private.
But with that said, a lot of people have noticed that Kelly is one of the very few stars of General Hospital who are yet to open up to Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) on his YouTube show, State of Mind. He recently even said on Twitter that he would love for some of his other co-stars to come on the show like Kelly. While he added that he wouldn’t pressure anyone to come on, he did tag everyone, which left them to be bombarded by messages from their Twitter fans. Talk about peer pressure, right?
But this isn’t the first time that Maurice has been accused of trying to pressure Kelly to appear on his talk show. Back in 2021, Maurice was even forced to set the record straight when he said, “Kelly’s my friend she knows I would never pressure her she has an open invitation just like the other actresses and actors. I only do state of mind when it’s time.”
So, with that said, will Kelly ever go on State of Mind? Time will only tell. But if she doesn’t, there’s nothing wrong with that either. She values her privacy and as an actress in a very social media kind of world, that is definitely a rarity. But a good one, too. Just because you are a celebrity, that doesn’t mean you are obligated to open up about your private life with everyone.
