Y&R spoilers suggest that it is time for Summer to write a new chapter. She’s had quite the roller coaster ride these past few months, and it’s time for her to move on.

Her mother Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) “death” rocked her world, and then learning she was alive was equally unsettling for Ms. Newman-Abbott.

Having to lie to friends, family, and her husband took a toll. Then, the eventual breakup of her marriage had her struggling even further, not to mention, learning that Kyle had moved on pretty quickly to Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver).

She recently got into a fight with her mom, and after the fact, felt liberated. She proclaimed the “old Summer” was back.

Ms. Newman-Abbott decided to get some of this “new” energy out and decided to head on a “real” rollercoaster.

The scene of Summer strapped into a coaster, going all the way up the ride, and the free fall afterward, foreshadowed a transitional change in the young woman.

Summer made it clear that there’s no “going back” to Kyle, recently; however, when she stops showing interest in a reunion, will she end up turning his head?

Especially if his relationship with Audra starts to fizzle. Meanwhile, Summer and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) have this cool friendship going, but he’s currently linked to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case).

Still, he loves fierce and independent women, so could he find himself catching feelings?
