General Hospital spoilers and updates for Thursday, August 9 tease fearful questions, fraught situations, and frantic cries for help. Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) asks fearful questions, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) try figuring out her fraught situation, and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) frantically cries for help!
At the Ashford-Robinson house, Portia asks Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) some fearful questions-at least they’re fearful for her. Portia had it all planned out for Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) to come back home and she would renovate the house for handicap access and nurse him back to health. She thought Marshall would back her up with Curtis, but she’s shocked at what he says.
Marshall doesn’t think Curtis should move back to the house. He’d just visited him at the hospital and perhaps it’s not the best plan for Curtis.
Meanwhile, back in Curtis’ room, he gets a visit and he seems to be glad to see his visitor, who he guesses isn’t there for a medical reason. It’s probably Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) who he’s been friends with since before Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) was born. Finn knows Curtis almost better than anyone besides Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Perhaps Finn can encourage Curtis better than his family members since he understands him better.
Another longtime friend of Finn’s, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is impressed with her daughter Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi). As Kristina looks like she’s come from jogging, hair in ponytail on top of her head and wearing sweats, her mother asks she’s not going to burn the books, is she? That could be just a private joke, but as to what Alexis is impressed with it might be because Kristina didn’t have a meltdown about a recent situation.
Kristina seemed to have her heart set on being a surrogate for her sister Molly Lansing-Davis (Brooke Anne Smith) and her domestic partner TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow). But she walked in on a meeting they were having with a representative from a surrogacy service-and didn’t get unduly upset; perhaps Molly told Alexis!
Elsewhere, Dante and Anna try to figure out her fraught situation, with her apparently being targeted by the Metro Court pool sniper. Anna knows now that Pikeman and the WSB are linked, after having put Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) on the hot seat about Pikeman. Now Dante asks if she thinks if Pikeman had anything to do with the attempt on her life? Anna had gone from Valentin to go look for a missing piece of the puzzle, and so she and Dante apparently are trying to puzzle it out.
Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) gets an enticing offer, as Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and she are sitting in Maxie’s small apartment. Sam tells her she found a solution for her – and it might be the perfect solution. Dante and Lulu Spencer’s (most recently Emme Rylan) old house is sitting big and empty, and a recent visit to Lulu with Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) undoubtedly reminded Dante of it.
Maxie and Lulu were best friends, so they’re sure that Lulu would approve. It sounds like Maxie’s offer will be to move her and her children into Dante and Lulu’s old house.
Elsewhere, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) had just got done talking with her best friend Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) who was upset about Ned Quartermaine/Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth). Olivia didn’t know that he’d overheard his mother, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) talking about committing him to a psychiatric facility, which Olivia seemed to oppose.
She had talked to him and given him something to think about, teaming up with Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) to promote him and sing her songs. But then she came back in the kitchen with some iced tea and he was gone-Carly’s now fending off a flirtatious Eddie. She’s clearly uncomfortable as he asks why would anyone betray a beautiful woman like her?
Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) has come to the hospital trying to reconnect with Curtis, and is in the hallway making frantic cries for help! It looks like she’s tracked down Finn and there’s some kind of problem with Curtis. Perhaps he tried to get up on his own and fell, or ripped his IV out in anger or something similar.
Finn seemed to have been speaking to a calm Curtis earlier, but perhaps he got frustrated. Whatever happens, Trina desperately needs Finn’s help!
