Victoria had many other non-husbands as romantic connections as well.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) told Nate that he does not share Nick’s view of him. However, viewers recall the Moustache lambasting Victoria, Nick, Nate, and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) in the recent past.

Everyone was told that Victor calls the final shots. He told Nate that his duplicity at Chancellor-Winters was concerning because he betrayed his family.

But Nate was more recently told that his drive is admired, and he has been helping to push Newman Enterprises to new heights.

The gist of Victor’s message was to let him know that a Newman will always head the family business.

Victoria was familiar with Nate since he was a child. There is a significant real-time age gap between both characters. But soapy magic makes Victoria only a handful of years older than Nate.

She appears to be falling in love with Nate in recent months. He told Nikki they are not involved that deeply but there is potential for that level of seriousness.

Nate was attracted to Victoria’s aura, which includes her heading one of the great corporations. She tapped him to be her Chief Operating Officer and pushed Nick out.

In the Newman world, that is a recipe for love, at least for now on Y&R.
