Yet, that’s exactly what the good folks over at General Hospital did when they shared a rather controversial photo on Twitter. Someone over at General Hospital’s promotional team thought that it would be a good idea to share a photo of actors Nicholas Chavez and Avery Pohl together along with a baby actor that is supposed to be Esme’s child. They certainly do look like a very happy family together. But the pic has also left General Hospital fans absolutely livid as they don’t want to see this at all.

It goes without saying that there were a lot of General Hospital fans and critics alike that had a lot to say about the photo on social media. Some have written comments such as, “You really need to take this down. People are very upset. I want Spencer and Trina. I have to admit I love Avery as Esme but they should find her a new love interest,” along with, “The smiling family portrait is not what #GH needs. #GH needs Esme to be PUNISHED for her crimes. Lack of memory is not a defense. Redemption will not be acceptable until she PAYS for her crimes & provides a sincere apology to ALL of her victims. Until then, QUIT IT WITH ESME PR!”

Another critic wrote, “Avery Pohl is talented. Why scramble Esme’s brain to go back to this? You could so much more with her! I love the young cast and you have GOLD with Spencer/Trina! Write for them!”

And then there was this comment as well: “This was the absolute worst. How you can have #Spencer posing with the woman who drugged his girlfriend and best friends as if they are a happy family is beyond ridiculous. She is not redeemed because she has amnesia. This story is awful.”
