General Hospital Spoilers: Esme Won’t Be Able to Shake Off the Way Her Mom Makes Her Feel

General Hospital spoilers report Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) might have left Heather Webber (Alley Mills) behind in Pentonville days ago, but her words linger on with her. She’s certain that there is some part of her mother inside of her that she just can’t break free of, and that’s her worst fear at the same time. Esme wants to feel validated when she claims she’s nothing like her parents, but that’s hard to do knowing she committed such heinous acts while in cahoots with her dear old dad, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom). Are people capable of change? If so, why didn’t it ever work for her mom and pops? Can it be for her? She might hear from a surprising source who seems to think so.

General Hospital Spoilers — Esme is Desperate to Know Herself More Than Her Mom

It doesn’t sound like Esme’s latest trip to prison will be her last. She has a lot more questions for Heather that she thinks she needs answers to in order to be able to move on with her life and feel like she really truly knows herself. Adopting a new identity might’ve been easier but it appears Esme is trying to make a genuine go of being herself — whoever that is. Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) wouldn’t know, given that he only met her after she had set her sights on him intentionally as part of her and Ryan’s plan. Will he take to the new and improved version of her?

GH Spoilers Spill Heather is Always Working an Angle

Heather won’t think twice about using Esme’s desperation and loneliness against her. Hearing that she has any hint of respect or mutual understanding with Spencer is going to drive Heather mad. Cavorting with a Cassadine is not acceptable to her. Can she weasel her way back into Esme’s heart as a means of influencing her behavior and getting her own form of revenge on the Cassadine’s via her daughter? Maybe she’ll be better at it than Ryan was.

An unlikely suitor could come to Esme’s aid when he starts to get the idea that she’s being manipulated to think differently about herself — and him. Will Esme’s visits with Heather leave her in such despair and speaking with such insecurity that Spencer had to lift her spirits and remind her that she’s actually a good mother and not a horrible person after all?
