Sometimes the best thing you can do is just simply move on. And that’s what a lot of The Young and the Restless fans are clearly thinking to themselves these days as they believe that Elena Dawson should stop obsessing over someone like Nate and just move on already. In fact, she would be better off if she were given a brand new storyline and a romance with a hot newcomer. That right there would surely get Nate’s attention. But by then, Elena wouldn’t probably want it anymore. Here’s what you need to know.
As many The Young and the Restless fans probably know by now, Elena is still pretty sour over the fact that she was dumped by none other than Nate just so he can get with Victoria Newman. Elena was definitely blindsided by the move, as she didn’t expect Nate to lie to her in the way that he did. Plus, she truly did think that their relationship was moving along in the right direction until Victor Newman’s daughter showed up. You’d think that Nate would make the right decision, but he didn’t.
Of course, many The Young and the Restless fans sure do have a lot to say about this storyline and what should be next for Elena. Some have taken to Twitter to comment on the matter with, “Elena needs a story and a man. Too bad Malcolm can’t return for Elena. Given that Malcolm helped raise Nate, that would be messy,” along with, “There are no black men for her which is a pity. I’d love to see that. She needs someone as a distraction.”
Another critic wrote, “Elena is a gorgeous woman and she definitely deserves better than what the writers are giving her at the moment, which is nothing. She needs to forget about Nate. He’s an opportunist and that’s the only reason why he’s with Victoria right now.”
